About Us

The Olubi and Sarah Johnson Foundation (OSJ) was founded in 2018 by Pastor Olubi Johnson (PhD) and his wife, Pastor Sarah Olubi Johnson (PhD). The Foundation was founded as a vehicle for them to give back to society as well as contribute to the enhancement and advancement of public education especially in their immediate community and in Nigeria at large.

Pastor Olubi Johnson (PhD)

Co-Founder

Pastor Olubi JOHNSON, (BSc. MSc. Ph.D) is the Founder and President of Olubi and Sarah Johnson Foundation.

He is also the President of Christ Life Ministries and Founder/Setman of Scripture Pasture Christian Centre Ibadan, Nigeria. He is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Lifeforte International High and Junior Schools, Biscordint Travels, Lifeforte Holdings and Investments and is the Nigeria Master Affiliate of Linux Professional Institute (LPI). Pastor Olubi Johnson is the Chairman Board of Trustees Elyon Koinonia Estate Developers Limited, Living Mercy Voice Foundation, a charity organization established by Scripture Pasture Christian Centre and Lifeforte Scholarship Foundation.

He holds a first class Bachelors and Masters degree in Physics from the University of Ibadan. He is also an alumnus of Imperial College London where he completed postgraduate coursework in Communication Engineering.

As described in the ‘Message’ version of the Holy Bible our Nigerian youths are “that generation that will be known as those who can fix anything, restore old ruins, rebuild, renovate and make Nigeria a technologically advanced community liveable again.”

The Olubi and Sarah Johnson Foundation is a vehicle designed by God and dedicated to; provide better infrastructure thus creating an enabling environment for community schools, provide scholarship awards and so foster opportunities for educational training to pupils from these schools, thereby nurturing hope and helping them to realise dreams, achieve and succeed.

Pastor Olubi Johnson (PhD)

Pastor Johnson is the Nigeria Master Affiliate of Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the first and largest vendor-neutral Linux and Open Source certification body in the world.

He ensures the growth and adoption of Linux Open Source and Free Software by identifying the best partner organizations for LPI in Nigeria and English-speaking West African countries that are best suited for the task of promoting Linux professionalism in the region. Under his leadership, LPI Nigeria was awarded the fastest growing affiliate in the Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region in its first year

The LPI Innovation Hub (the first multi-disciplinary Hub in a sub-Saharan African University founded by an Open Source body) was built by Pastor Johnson and his wife Sarah Olubi-Johnson (Ph.D), in collaboration with LPI Global.

Pastor Johnson has a passion for young people and believes that through the activities at the LPI Innovation Hub and the networking it will provide, young men and women will be equipped in no small way to contribute significantly to building of the immediate community, the larger community and the nation as a whole.

Pastor Sarah Olubi Johnson (PhD)

Pastor Sarah Olubi Johnson (PhD) and her husband, Pastor Olubi Johson, founded Lifeforte in 1990. Sarah continues to serve as the CEO and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Lifeforte International High and Junior Schools. She is also the CEO and Managing Director of Biscordint Travels and Lifeforte Holdings and Investments.

She is the Vice-Chairperson Board of Trustees Elyon Koinonia Estate Developers Limited, Living Mercy Voice Foundation, a charity organization established by Scripture Pasture Christian Centre and Lifeforte Scholarship Foundation.

We must realise that a nation is the people – I am Nigeria, you are Nigeria, we are Nigeria. So we must choose to be different so Nigeria can be a land of hope, a land where dreams and opportunities are given to every child irrespective of circumstance of birth to aspire and realise his or her vision to make Nigeria a land of greatness and prominence again.

Our ethos in Olubi and Sarah Johnson Foundation is “Living is giving and giving is Living.”

Mrs Sarah Olubi Johnson (PhD)

Sarah holds a Second Class Honours Upper Division Bachelors degree in English from the University of Jos and a Masters degree in English from the University of Ibadan where she specialized in phonology and earned direct access to pursue a PhD. Prior to founding Lifeforte, Sarah spent over 7 years as a lecturer at the University of Ibadan.

With over 30 years of experience in education, business, and management, Sarah Olubi Johnson a hand-maiden of the LORD with prophetic grace, has made significant contributions to improving educational opportunities for children in Africa and beyond. Her unparalleled success as an educationist and astute businesswoman has earned her several accolades most notably the PSR Woman of Merit Gold Award, Leadership in Nigeria Education Gold Award, Grand Award for Productivity in Africa and a nomination for the TimeNews Development Achievers Merit Gold Award.

Board of Trustees

Engr. Deji Familusi

Chairman

Engineer Deji Familusi is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Multicad Nigeria Limited. He holds a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from the prestigious University of Ibadan and is a member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers and COREN, the Council of Engineering Regulation of Nigeria.

Deji worked many years in engineering consulting firm prior to establishing his own construction firm. He has a passion for excellence in everything he does. He derives special satisfaction from changing and transforming a barren and undeveloped environment to habitable and magnificent structures of great economic values. Engineer Familusi has over the years demonstrated wealth of experience in his field, having built for many corporate Clients and Government organisations as well as high net worth individuals.

He is also the Director of projects for EKEDS, an estate development company. He has attended and participated in many conferences, seminars and training across the globe on current and up to date construction and building practices as it evolves with modern day technology.

He has a great vision of imparting the younger generation so they can be a blessing to their generation

Prof. Kayode Olopade

Prof. James O. Olopade

Secretary

Professor James O. Olopade is a Veterinarian and a Professor of Comparative Anatomy and Neuroscience in University of Ibadan where he has served as Sub Dean, Head of Department, Chairman of the University Senate Admissions Committee, and Dean of Faculty.

He is an elected Council Member of International Society of Neurochemistry, and the African Regional Council of the International Brain Research Organisation. Professor Olopade is a brain expert and teaches Anatomy and Neuroscience in several Veterinary Schools in Nigeria at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A lover of young people both in the classroom and in church, he is a Pastor in Scripture Pasture Christian Center and an Elder of the Zion City Fellowship under Pastors Olubi and Sarah Johnson.

Mr. Joshua-Olubi Johnson

Counsel to the Board

Joshua-Olubi Johnson holds an LLM degree from the University of Pennsylvania, an LLB(Hons) degree from the University of Warwick, BL(Hons) from the Nigerian Law School and WBLC from the Wharton School of Business. He is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and has also been recently admitted to the New York State Bar.

Joshua-Olubi undertook Military training at the prestigious Fork Union Military Academy where he was awarded the Cadet of Term. Joshua-Olubi started his practice of Law in a leading and prestigious law firm in Nigeria.

Joshua-Olubi provides legal advisory to the Board, reviews and drafts agreements on behalf of the board and handles legal negotiation for the board when needed.

Joshua-Olubi is passionate about improving the quality of life for the less privileged and disadvantaged Nigerians. He has a strong interest in public policy and how it affects and influences the daily life of Nigerians.

Dr. Balogun William

Treasurer

Dr. William Onabumeh Balogun, MBBS (Ibadan), MSc. (Ibadan), FWACP (Fellow of West African College of Physicians) and FACE (Fellow of the American College of Endocrinologists). He is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, a medical teacher and Consultant Physician/Endocrinologist to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Nigeria. He is a past Deputy CMAC (Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee) in charge of clinical services at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.  

He is a member of Nigerian Medical Association, Medical & Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria, Endocrine & Metabolic Society of Nigeria, Diabetes Association of Nigeria (DAN), American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) and Endocrine Society of the United States. Dr. Balogun specializes in the care of adults living with diabetes, hypertension and endocrine diseases. He is lead investigator and co-investigator in research projects focused on diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. He is actively engaged in training of medical undergraduates and postgraduate medical doctors. He currently coordinates residency training activities in the Department of Medicine, UCH, Ibadan. He is an examiner to the West African College of Physicians and the coordinator of the annual revision courses in internal medicine for the WACP.

A lover of God and manifestation of His comprehensive purpose on the earth, Dr. Balogun serves as a Pastor under Pastors Olubi and Sarah Johnson at the Scripture pasture Christian Center as well as the Chairman, executive committee of the Living Mercy Voice Foundation, a charitable non-profitable arm of the church where he oversees the day to day running of the foundation involving orphanage, reaching out to the indigent sick, and less privileged.

Mr Olusegun Sogbetun

Mr. Olusegun Sogbetun

Mr Olusegun Sogbetun is an expert in compliance and financial crime for the banking industry. He is currently working for BNY Mellon in the heart of London’s financial district. In the past, he has shared his expertise with various multi-national investment, commercial and retails banks in the United Kingdom.  

He holds a Bachelors degree in Insurance from Lagos State University and an MBA from Coventry University. He has completed two professional post-graduate diplomas from the International Compliance Association in Governance Risk and Compliance, as well as in Financial Crime. Furthermore, he is an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Dr. Itunuoluwa Johnson Sogbetun

Dr. Itunuoluwa Johnson Sogbetun Bsc. Human Genetics, MBBS ( UCL) MRCP, MRCGP, DFSRH completed her medical degree at the University College London in 2011 and also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Genetics from the same institution.

She previously completed her post-graduate training in core internal medicine at the Whittington Hospital, obtaining membership of the Royal College of Physicians, and decided to retrain as a GP on the West Hertfordshire Scheme.

She has additional clinical interests in hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular medicine as well as in reproductive and sexual health.

Dr. Itunuoluwa Johnson Sogbetun is also passionate about evidence-based medicine delivered with excellence and the equipping of future physicians to fulfill this task. Therefore, during her career, she has also been actively involved in medical education and medical research.

Outside of work, She enjoys being a mum, traveling, singing, and painting.

Ms. Moyinoluwa Johnson

Member

Moyin is passionate about and committed to the socio-economic development of the African continent and the improvement of the quality of life the people, particularly women & youth. She is a strong advocate of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is currently advising and consulting with a state in Nigeria on policy and programmes to aid the achievement of the SDGs. Prior to this, Moyin completed a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in International Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). At LSE, she held several leadership positions and spear-headed development initiatives; most notable was her role as President & Co-director of the 2018 LSE Africa Summit.

Prior to graduate school, she worked as a corporate Lawyer for an International Law Firm in Nigeria. She was also programme manager of a development initiative focused on educating girls from low-income backgrounds. More recently, she worked as a gender & development summer consultant at the African Development Bank (AfDB) and as a development consultant for Hewlett Packard (HP).

She holds an undergraduate degree in Law (LLB) from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London and was called to the Nigerian Bar Association in 2014.

Dr Mary Oluwayemisi Balogun

Dr. Mary Oluwayemisi Balogun MBBS, MPH (Ibadan), FWACP, DOcc Med (UK) is a Fellow of the West African College of Physician, Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health, United Kingdom. She has a Diploma degree in Occupational Medicine from the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, United Kingdom, Masters degree in Public Health, Ibadan, and currently running a Masters degree in Occupational Medicine at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.

She is a Senior Lecturer, Researcher, medical teacher at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan and a Postgraduate Coordinator of studies at the Department of Community Medicine. She is also a Consultant Community and Occupational Health Physician to the University College Hospital, a member of the Health and Safety committee of the hospital and a past Residency Training Coordinator.

Dr Mary Balogun is a member of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN), Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Association of Public Health Physicians of Nigeria (APHPN), Society of Occupational and Environmental Health Physicians of Nigeria (SOEHPON) and affiliate member of Faculty of Occupational Medicine, United Kingdom.

Dr Mary Balogun is actively involved in teaching of Occupational Health to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. She conducts training for workers on conduct of Occupational Risk assessment.

Engineer (Mrs). Titilayo Familusi is the Deputy Managing Director of Multicad Nigeria Limited, a company she co-established after working in various construction companies.

Titilayo had over the years acquired a lot of experience in the construction industry. She is target oriented and result driven. These abilities had helped to achieve and enhance great successes in the execution of many projects undertaken by the company. She is also highly skilled in the management of projects, human and financial resources.

Titilayo Familusi holds a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Ibadan. She is a member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers and also a registered member of the Council of Engineering Regulation of Nigeria (COREN).

Dr. Mrs. Olopade

Dr. Funmilayo Olopade

Dr. Funmilayo Olopade is a medical doctor and lecturer who teaches 2nd and 3rd year medical students at the University of Ibadan. She is a neuroscientist/ researcher with a PhD who is committed to investing in the lives of her students, determined to be a role model both inside and out of the classroom.

She is a member of Scripture Pasture Christian Centre and serves as a minstrel in the church choir.

Mr. Adeniyi Omikunle

Admin, Media and Publicity Secretary

Adeniyi is a social researcher, capacity building specialist, trainer, development project management consultant and an ICT and digital media enthusiast. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the Obafemi Awolowo University and a Master of Science degree in Personality and Social Psychology from the University of Ibadan.

He has worked as a consultant in various capacities on several multilateral donor-assisted projects in Nigeria. These include World Bank-assisted projects such as the State Education Sector Project (SESP) in Kwara state, Lagos EReader Assessment Project (iLEAP), State Education Program Investment Project (SEPIP) in Taraba and Yobe states; Community-based Poverty Reduction Project (CPRP) in Ekiti, Kogi, Osun and Kebbi states; the National Fadama Development Project II, the Economic Reform and Growth Project (EGRP); as well as the African Development Bank-assisted Institutional Reform and Good Governance Project (IRGP) amongst others.

He has also consulted individually or as a member of various consulting teams for a number of federal and state governments’ institutions and agencies as well as private sector organizations.

His areas of expertise include conducting needs assessment, baselines surveys, impact assessments, project monitoring and evaluation, project documentation and reporting as well as designing capacity building programs for various levels of project actors and stakeholders. He is an experienced training coordinator and facilitator.

Adeniyi is also a prolific web, digital and motion graphic designer with interest and passion for deploying ICT solutions to solve wide ranges of organizational challenges. He is a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) and the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria (IMCON).
